Growing up in Arizona in the 80s and 90s I was lucky enough to have two sets or Grandparents from Iowa that were BOTH living that Snowbird life so I got to see them most of the year. They had great weather all year, the best of both worlds and basically got to play golf year-round. I’d often think to myself, “They’re living the life.” Back then, homes, golf and the cost of living were so much cheaper, and the snowbird lifestyle seemed attainable.

Deep down, I knew if I ever pursued that lifestyle, it wouldn’t be by the ocean—it would be in or near the mountains. I’ve always been more of a mountain person. While the ocean is beautiful, there’s something grounding and expansive about mountain views. Living in Arizona, I’ve been lucky to always have mountains in sight, but the idea of having a second home somewhere cooler and greener became a quiet dream for years.

Then came Red Lodge, Montana.

My husband, Scott and I started taking family fishing trips to Red Lodge in the summers. The charming town, the stunning views, the endless outdoor activities—it all clicked. We fell in love with the place. The goal was clear: one day, we’d have a second home in Red Lodge. A place to retreat when we could and rent out to others who also wanted to experience this magical mountain town.

I didn’t just let the dream sit there, though. I took action, practicing manifestation techniques that had worked for me in our business @rugworx. One affirmation I wrote and repeated often was: “We have multiple properties, including a home in Red Lodge, Montana.” It felt far-fetched at the time—like something I’d only achieve decades down the line. But instead of putting limits on my timeline or obsessing over the “how,” I stayed aligned with my goal. I operated on a higher frequency, took small, inspired actions, and trusted the process.

And then, exactly one year later, we were on a family vacation in Red Lodge, not expecting anything but a great trip. On a whim, we decided to look at homes in the area. We had no intention of buying at that moment—it was more of a “what if” scenario. But the perfect house in the exact neighborhood we wanted, looking out at the exact mountain we loved, presented itself.

We took action.

At the airport heading home, we submitted an offer. The negotiations were pleasant, the loan process was seamless, and everything fell into place. What started as a fantasy became a reality: Manifest Mountains Montana was born.

Scott named the home “Manifest Mountains Montana” because it felt like the perfect representation of how this dream unfolded. I already had the name for my online coaching business, and it only made sense to tie it into this manifestation journey. Manifestation loves speed, alignment, and action—and this experience proved just how powerful that combination can be.
